Student Exchange Program (Germany-France-Switzerland)

Like every year, this year also students of Rockwoods High School, Udaipur visited DBBC, Bad Aibling, Germany for cultural and educational exchange.

It was a 15 days program started on 15th October when 8 students escorted by Mr. Vikram Jeet Singh Shekhawat, Joint Director, Rockwoods High School & a teacher visited DBBC, Bad Aibling Germany, One of the best K-12 schools popular for its scholastic and co-scholastic development of child. We reached DBBC at 9:30 pm CET, and were amused and very happy to be welcomed by DBBC CEO, staff & students. After the warm welcome at school, the RHS students left with their respective host families (we fondly call them angel guardians) for the next 8 days.

RHS students during their 8 days stay in Germany attended many classes including football lessons, basketball lessons, art and craft lessons etc, they also explored many places like Kampenwand Mountain, Farm House Museum, Anel (Work & life of disabled people), Wasserburg, Bavarian folk Dance, City of Munich, BMW museum, City of Rosenheim, Lake Chiemsee, Herrenchiemsee Palace, Salt mine (Austria), City of Salzburg (Austria) etc.

Early in the morning on October 24, the group left for mesmerizing train journey to Interlaken, Switzerland via Zurich.The evening at Interlaken was spent watching the Sun set at lake Brienzersee. We also visited Jungfraw (Top of Europe) next day. Train to Paris, France was via Basel, Switzerland where students got chance to visit “Bank of International Settlement”. Paris had lot to offer to the students. They had lot of fun at Disneyland, Eiffel Tower, Louvre museum, Notre Dame, Cathedral, Lock bridge, River Seine cruise etc. Overall it was a great learning experience where students got opportunity to learned about different culture and made many friends. DBBC will be visiting Rockwoods High School in January, 2019.
